Oh-8 with Oprah at The Fox!

Thinking about next season's collection of Broadway Series events at the Fox is kind of like thinking about next season's version of the Rams.  It seems a long way off, but some just can't help it.

That said, the 08-09 schedule for the Fox is out, and some big names on the Broadway scene will be heading for Grand Boulevard.

In her continued push for global domination, Oprah Winfrey is taking the Broadway version of "The Color Purple" out on the road.  It will open the Fox's season on October 21st.  (I'd pair this up with the Rams schedule but no dates have been announced on that front.  I hope the play fares better than the scheduled road trip to New England for our football heroes!)

After that two week run, "Sweeney Todd" rolls in for a quick, two nighter on November 14th.  "Cats" (in my opinion the most over-rated play ever to hit the stage) will close out 2008 November 28-30.

2009 begins with another of the pop-culture movie remakes that have swept New York as "Legally Blond:  The Musical" arrives January 20th for a two week stay. 

Other highlights include "Hairspray," "A Chorus Line,""Rent," and "Mary Poppins."  I've got the full schedule below!
