"I didn't get into the business for THIS!" Those were reportedly the words of the manager of Elektra/Asylum Records in New York City on March 20, 1980. It was on this day that a trucker from Texas held the manager hostage at gunpoint for two hours demanding to see either a member of the Eagles or Jackson Browne. He eventually gave up when a local radio station agreed to play the Eagles' tune "Desperado."
