SCROLL DOWN for JAY's BIO -

I was born in St. Louis and grew up here, Minneapolis and San Jose, California...a multi-city childhood that prepared me well for the rock band-style, gypsy touring life that is a career in radio.

It's been a blast seeing America by working and living in all quadrants of the USA - I've been to 46 of our states and seen a lot of our amazing country, living and working in places like San Jose/San Francisco, Minneapolis, Seattle, Milwaukee, Norfolk/Virginia Beach, Springfield, IL, Dallas and Charleston, SC. I previously worked in St. Louis radio from 1995-97 when KSD was classic rock - (I think they play Polkas of the Antarctic now).

I came back to StL for good in 2006 to take care of family matters and have been with THE ARCH since June of 2007. It is the most perfect music station I have ever worked for, allowing me to indulge my rawk side as much as my love for pop music. It's my passion to bring all kinds of music to you and to dig around for the fun facts and stories behind the tunes and the people who make them.

I'm really lucky to be on TEAM ARCH, and I really appreciate that YOU listen. Thanks!

There you are, just minding your own business…having a cup of coffee, reading the paper of surfing the news on the ‘net and all of a sudden: HEY! I KNOW THAT GUY!!

Hopefully, when that revelation strikes you, it’s not because your long lost acquaintance has committed some grisly, heinous crime…hopefully it’s something a little more useful to society.

After a while on Earth, many of us meet so many people that eventually one of them makes news.  Such was the case for me when I read this story about a guy I went to high school with.  During my school years, I moved around a couple of times and when my Dad (a computer engineer) was transferred to a job in the fast-growing “Silicon Valley” of San Jose, I went to high school there for a year or so.  There, I met Jeff Tedesco who didn’t strike me as all that memorable then, but he’s made an impression on me now.  Anyone who has figured out a way to charge people $1.15 per CD to rip them to a hard drive, get 4 robots to do the actual work AND get the business of people like Elton John, Barry Bonds and Dave Matthews has definitely got a few things figured out!
