Let's be honest, St. Louis has a slight Napoleon complex when it comes to Chicago, which probably explains the fact that we still consider the Cubs and Cardinals rivalry valid despite Chicago's World Series record. While having more rings is definitely a notch on our belts, Forbes just gave us another one: St. Louis may be among the most miserable cities in the nation, but Chicagoan have it way worse than we do according to their misery index.

Forbes rated Chicago as the third most miserable city in the nation coming in just behind Stcokton, CA and Memphis, TN. Though St. Louis earned the distinguished honor of being the only metro area to score in the bottom of all nine measures (including weather, crime and corruption) we still only ranked in at ten. If you think about it, they only published the top 10 most miserable cities so we kind of almost didn't even make the list. Thanks to the curse of the Billy Goat and Forbes magazine maybe we can put this little man syndrome to rest, and feel pity for a city that can't even be creative enough to have two different mascots for their baseball and football teams.
