Ask St. Louis: What's Your Favorite Pick-Up Line?

Whether it's at a bar, at the gym or pushing your cart down the isle at your neighborhood grocery store, everybody has heard it. It will either make you cringe or make you laugh, and it very rarely works; "it" is a pick-up line. Sometimes it's hard to differentiate between what is classified as a good pick-up line, because the point is to be so good that it's just plain horrible.

So we asked a few people in Jefferson County what their favorite pick-up lines were. Surprisingly, many passer-byes were stumped by this question, which gives me hope that the world is becoming a better place. Or at least one with fewer slimy vultures waiting for you at a nearby bar stool.

And because I'm sure you were wondering, here's my favorite:

Hey boy (or girl)! I've got my library card and I am checking you out!
