I've been searching and searching for quite a while now for a positive story about the rediculous gas prices we're paying these days. I have finally found one. Some crooks in Cookeville Tennessee appearently couldn't afford the high gas prices.
They had just finished stealing a reclining chair from a store and were heading out of the parking lot when---they ran out of gas. That really made it easy for police to arrest them.
You see--some good has come from the high gas prices. Seriously-there's a story in this morning's Post about the positive effect high gas prices has had on traffic deaths. They are plummeting around the country. The last time we saw such a large decrease in traffic deaths ? During the Arab oil embargo of the early 70's.
