It was big news in the Entertainment World this week.  Paula Abdul confirming via Twitter that she was not going to return to be a judge on American Idol next season.

I, personally, am completely bummed.  It's not that I love Paula, so much as I loved all the crazy antics she brought to the show.  Or simply, just her craziness.

So, who to put in her place?  One might've thought since Kara is returning for her 2nd year of judging, they wouldn't add a fourth judge.  That AI would keep it at 3.

Not so, according to hollyscoop.com.  They made the announcment that Victoria Beckham, formerly "Posh Spice" of The Spice Girls, will be a "guest" judge starting next season of American Idol.  Now, guest could just mean that they're trying her out.  Or that she is only going to stay for a few shows.  I can't imagine her staying long since her and her soccer playing hubby are supposedly looking for a new "flat" in London!

Do we really need another English Snooty judge on American Idol?  I THINK NOT!  Especially Posh, who, to me, comes off stuck up and not very nice.  We already have that in Simon.  But...I could be wrong.  Victoria could be actually a nice addition.  We'll see.  One things for sure, it will bring in the viewers just for the curiousity factor alone!
