You hear stories all the time about people going to unusual places to get married. You know-like the zoo--or a favorite golf course. On the beach. Las Vegas. Here's come a new one.
A couple are planning to make history soon by becoming the first couple to be married in space. They are to be married by Sir Richard Branson. He's the guy that owns Virgin Airlines and is building space ships that will start sending ordinary citizens into space.
But before he starts his space tourism company-Branson will marry a couple in one of his space ships. The plan-I'm told-is for the couple to also spend their honeymoon in space.
So they will not only become the first couple to be married in space--they will also become the first members of the '70 Mile High Club'. I'm not sure how that will work in weightlessness conditions--but good luck to them.
