Americans don't have any extra money to spend so let's make everything with bright colors and then they'll buy. This seems to be the new theory on consumer spending according to AOL.
They quoted a "trend specialist" saying, "Colors do act as retail therapy when the economy is challenged, just as women tend to spend for makeup during doldrums." Hmmmm...so if I don't have any extra money to buy a new oven and you offer me a blue one, I'll suddenly end up with the money?

Let me tell you, the only person who's going to buy a blue oven is the person with loads of money. They have the money to redecorate every year..b/c anyone in their right mind knows that won't be in "style" in the next two years.
