They grow up so fast!

I have LOTS of pictures of my son.  When I say LOTS, I mean a crazy amount of pictures and he's only 17 months old.  But the majority of them have been taken by me, not by a professional picture-taker.  Two reasons: (1) The photographers (strangers) with giant cameras and flashing lights freak him out a bit and (2) After all is said and done, I end up spending a fortune.  Are there other moms out there like me?  Am I the only one who prefers to take snapshots at home rather than taking them to a photographer?
