It’s 9pm and I’ve recorded the Blues game. I haven’t watched yet. I was busy with life for a little while and had to put the Blues on standby for a second. I love technology. It allows me to get in all those call backs and stupid little errands that bug the heck out of me until I get it done. So, as of right now I’m kind of flying Blues blind. I’m actually enjoying the NBA Playoffs more right now anyway. Cleveland almost gave away a 29 point lead to Detroit. The Pistons run is about over and that’s too bad. I wonder if time will be kind to their legacy. I’m a SHEED fan. Hockey is a sport I’m ok with putting on the back burner for a night. Perhaps if the Blues v Canucks series tally were reversed I would be more inclined to go Blues first but as it stands on the verge of a 4-0 sweep, King James has priority. I don’t want to miss anything he does on the court. I want to see it live. Vancouver goalie Roberto Luongo has been smoking hot and really sharp in the playoffs, and he’s made some unbelievable saves lately but it just doesn’t compare to seeing LeBron float high above the rim on a break away dunk. I’m going to keep my evening sanitized of Blues info until I can watch the recording of game 4. I think that’s the trick I’ve mastered about recording sports. I must shelter myself from the outside world until I can catch up and watch an entire game. That means no phone calls and no commercials or updates from Stu Scott. He may update me on the Blues score.
Well the Cavs/Pistons game is done. King James and the rest of the Cavs go up two nothing heading back to Detroit. Series is over. Next two games are merely a formality now. I love the NBA. The Lakers and Jazz just tipped off. Looks like the Blues are going to have to wait again. This is the cool thing about technology. I can delay the inevitable. I hope that the Blues are winning right now. I think it would be a great story if the Blues could somehow pull out the series. I’ve never seen a comeback like that before and it would be something awesome to add to my “things I’ve witnessed” sports hall of memories. I would put it right up there with way the Georgia Dome looked on Jan 30, 2000 in Atlanta, or Lennox Lewis kayoing Hassim Rachman in Las Vegas, or Mike Tyson biting Evander Holyfield’s ear off at the MGM Hotel and Casino, or Travis Pastrana’s double back flip on a motorcycle at the X Games in Los Angeles, or even the intoxicated streaker that out ran the entire security staff at the 2004 World Bowl in Frankfurt, Germany.
Kobe is just great. I mean Tiger Woods great. It’s his world and we all just sesame on his bun. I’m temped to check the Blues score. Man I hope they won. Wouldn’t it be great if recorded sports events could be replayed with an alternate ending feature? All of my favorite teams would be undefeated.
