The story

MIKE TERRY PHOTO  I am SO behind on getting my lights up outside this year.  And the cold temps aren't making things ANY more encouraging for me.  We've got all of our inside decorations up, but getting outside just seems to be low on my list this Winter.  Maybe it has to d Check out the full story.
  • Pat,
Don't forget the house on Avondale in O'Fallon, MO. Every year he does up his house in lights, broadcast music on 89.9 AM and the lights dance to the music. He keeps a big tote at his mail box and ask for food donations for the local food pantries. Which is good because the boy scouts skipped my subdivision this year! And I had a bag full of food ready to give them! If you want directions to this fella's house, just ask, it's in your neck of the woods!
  • if it can be something other than a house. i would choose our lady of the snow shrine. its in belleville il.
  • That is a nice display. how ever I am a little hurt that you do not have my lights listed. www.gtechdesign.com is my website with video. I have done three houses in a row and they are all set to music that you tune in on your car radio at 89.5 fm. I'm two blocks from Tillis park and there lights so people could make a night of it. thanks
    Geoff

  • Hey here is another synchronized light show that is transmitted to your radio that you may want to check out. It is in St. Charles, MO. The address is 610 St. Jovite St. The whole show runs about 50 minutes and there are 30,000 lights. You can also check out the website at www.lightsforchrist.net

Dont forget the Heege Man club in Affton. The whole block is in lights. Mackenzie to Heege you can not miss it.
  • These are great suggestions. Thanks, and keep 'em coming!
  • The 8800 block of Windom in St. John (called Windom Wonderland by most of us around the area) may not have the "best" display, but they come pretty close. Most of the houses on the street decorate, and they have Santa visiting tonight (Dec. 19th), they give out candy canes to kids, hot chocolate to anyone who needs it. It's a family tradition for my mom and I, my husband, and little sisters to visit there yearly.
