I am in the middle of finding the right reception hall.  I have called many halls to find out what the price would be and my goodness.. I am trying to pick through 2 halls right now, so we will see which one will be available.  My only concern is what if I get this hall that holds more than the other hall and not that many people show up.. Any thoughts or ideas of other halls?

What kind of hall are you thinking of? A hotel banquet center or a vfw hall?

Word of advice: do some research before you pick a hall. Make sure they are a solid corporation and not showing up in the papers for not paying taxes or not having a licqour license.
  • Also make certain it is very clear when down payments and final payments are due. My fiance and I had no idea that the hall we used wanted payment in full prior to the wedding.

We had to borrow from several people just to get the money. We were extremely unaware of this huge detail.
  • Go to the Ramada in Fairview Heights. New management, new carpet, a lot of upgrades, use to work there and the banquet department is very very good
  • I just had my wedding reception at the Links at Dardenne in O'
Fallon, MO. Everything about the place exceeded our expectations. The staff was very hospitable and the food was great! Best part, the facility, food, and bar tab was incredibly reasonable. No extra add-ons like so many other places we researched. No room rental fee, no linen fee, etc. Highly recommended...if you haven't already found a place!
