When To Expect Those Fall Leaves

Our summer has been amazing this year. I don't think we even hit a full week of extreme heat and right now it's practically spring outside. It certainly feels like the season should be sifting soon as the sun is going down earlier each day, and the sunlight is changing. When can we expect fall this year? Will it be a colorful one?

My predictions are yes, but not until the middle of October. If our cool weather continues, the chances are greater. I have also heard that the Farmer's Almanac predicts a very cold winter this year. I am not looking forward to that as much as the fall. The colors are amazing and there is nothing more refreshing than crisp fall air.

I have had the pleasure of seeing the Pennsylvania Fall display along the Turnpike right during it's peak. Absolutely Stunning. Fall in St. Louis is just as stunning...you just need to know where to go. Here are some places I expect to cruise when the colors fall:

Lone Elk Park

Forrest Park

Rockwood Reservation

Kimmswick
