By the way, I recently read "The Polar Express" book version to my son. It's terrible!!! Poorly written and impossible to read. How did this piece of garbage ever get turned into a movie? The movie version is a million times better than the children's book. Am I missing something here? Was it written by a Make a Wish kid or something?

I knew it was a matter of time for KB after they started closing stores a couple of years ago. When I got drug to the mall as a kid, my typical reward for semi-good behavior was a small toy. Think Matchbox car, Star Wars figure, or mini-Lego set. Many of those toys came from KB Toys.

I still catch myself looking over as I pass where the KB Toys used to be at St. Clair Square. I couldn't even tell you what's there now but I know what USED to be there. I’ll never forget that loud carpet, those narrow aisles, and those electronic gadgets trying to trip you as you went by. So long KB Soldier. It’s time for your final march…into the sunset.
