Well since I am often called the "mean mom" I guess I should maintain my rep by saying that I think that anything we can do as parents to give our child one more day to gain maturity, one more tool to keep them from making a reckless choice that will haunt them for the rest of their lives is a gift that could last them a lifetime. Limitations on immature and unexperienced drivers are not a result of lack of trust. They are the loving gifts of a thoughtful parent.
