Why don't our boys get more air time????? » newkidsnetwork.ning.com

I just don't understand why the New Kids on the Block has such a negative association linked to it. So they wore bright colors and had poofy hair in the 80's... who didn't?!? Their new CD is phenomenal, their fans are as diehard as they come (as in... selling out concerts for three tours in a row, both at home and overseas, and crashing MULTIPLE websites that offer meet and greet opportunities and tickets to their cruise...) and it's just not fair that they aren't treated with the same respect that is bestowed upon Lady freakin' Gaga and NeYo. Don't get me wrong... I like Lady Gaga and NeYo... I just think it's a shame that they get more air time and less BS when she opened for him last fall and he co-wrote and co-released one of their first singles.

  • I'm not trying to be a total douche bag but aren't those dudes like 40? I don't see a couple 40 year olds trying to have a "boy" band being very marketable or commercial. I suppose I'm wrong somehow if they are selling out shows the way they do. Are all those people at those shows from their original fan base, and their kids? Not to mention it is 2009, and unless they have one of those Peter Frampton R&B singer guys, I don't see their "reunion" lasting that long. Was I offensive? If so, I apologize beforehand but boy bands are obviously not my thing.
