Live OFF the Levee

The raging Mississippi River and all the flooding that it's currently bringing is prompting major change in this Summer's "Live on the Levee" concert series.

The folks at Celebrate St. Louis have announced the whole shebang is being moved to the Soldier's Memorial area near Tucker and Market downtown.  And, no, I wasn't just being clever with the headline, they are calling it "Live OFF the Levee."

The series will run for several weeks starting the 4th of July, and all the concerts will be held at the Soldier's Memorial, even after the river drops.  Organizers say changing locations mid-stream (pun intended) would be cost prohibitive.

Drake Bell and Joss Stone will kick things off on the 4th of July.  If you'd like to see the entire release on the subject, you can go here.
