I liked wednesdays groom because he has a job. Seemed nice enough. Thursdays groom had more personality but he just moved back home and he has tickets to baseball and football and just bought a new car. How can he afford to move out on his own and help support a family in his present location with his current debt? Ask to see his portfolio. Shoot ask all the grooms to see their current 1040 form. good luck!

CORNBREAD - What happend to you getting the 5 BEST guys in St. Louis for this gal...i feeel bad tht you are having her marry anyone of these guys to be honest. The 1st guy is a player, the 2nd guy doesnt have a career and has college bills the 3rd guy seems ok in fact he is the only one I woudl pick. the 4th guy is a beer bong champ - oh brother!!!!....is this what St. Louis has to offer her??? I'm sorta confused, because I know that there are better guys out there, and I am not knocking any of them because I don't know any of them. Its just my impression that they have mainly been drinkers, and since I don't imbibe I would have a real problem with that. I also have a steady career, as does Perky, and only a couple of the prospective grooms have jobs. I have yet to hear any that I would be attracted to. But I do have to commend them and Perky herself for trying this experiment, and where in his iterview does it state that he lives with his mom, only that he talks to her every day. My husband talks to his mom everyday, and thats not a bad thing, I talked to my mom several times a day until she passed. So my questions for Thursdays groom would be how long he has held the beer pong title, how long has he been employed at where he works, does he go to church, how many true friends does he have, or just drinking buddies, I'm sure in the business he is in he makes decent money, but what do his debts and obligations consist of, and how much? Good luck Perky, we are all out here praying for you.

Perky dont listen to all the negative on here. It has been said that all the grooms have jobs for the ones who havent been listening very well. And thursdays groom did say why he moved back home . Heck I have moved back home and so has my bf . But it wasnt because we couldnt live on our own it was just a smart thing to do at the time . That dont make you a bad person . I have a great man who has a great job and we met off the internet fell in love without meeting only seeing pics of each other . And he roommated with his sister when we got together . But we have our own place and have been together for 2 years and still going stroung . Yes we have our bad times but the good still out ways the bad by tons . So yes I beleave that to people who never seen each other can fall in love I am 28 and he is 27 and we did.

Don't get me wrong, I think there's something great about each of them. But this ain't no fairytale ladies. This is reality. If you think the contestants are so bad, maybe you should be mad at what our city has to offer for this experiment. It wasn't like they could go out and kidnap your five perfect men. I was sitting in my car this morning (Friday) listening to the wrap up of questions given to him and I couldn't help but smile. Humor is so important in a relationship. If I was younger I'd go for him! He also sounds like his sisters have trained him right-LOL!

Wow tough decision Perky. I'm torn between Tuesday and Thursday, but after the spooning comment I think I like Thursday the best I think people need to remember they are grooms for Perky and her personality not what you would pick for yourself. Tuesday and Thursday seem to fit her, fun loving and honest. Good Luck Perky!!

Okay, I am 26 and have been married for 5 years to my best friend/soul mate. I really do feel sorry for the "good guys" out there!!! No wonder they say women are so hard to please!! I am so tired of reading comments about how each of these guys are losers. The 1st guy has kids so therefore child support as well. The 2nd guy (btw... my personal fav!) is in school, soon to be graduated but in turn for that, has student loans to pay. The 3rd guy is a teacher working on his Masters but may be a workaholic. Then the 4th guy is 23, works, likes to have fun but lives at home with his mom. I missed Friday's guy but, I'm sure this crowd will be quick to judge.
I understand wanting to be with someone who is well established in life and in their career, with no financial worries, no excess baggage, on their own, but still a family man. But ya know, it's just not realistic to find someone who fits into a perfect mold! In a good marriage you have to work as a team to become the people you WANT to be. I know me and my husband are not the same people we were 5 years ago, but with that, we have grown... together, and I feel that has given our marriage a stronger foundation. We are able to look back and see where we were, compared to where we are now, and I hope that our growth continues throughout our marriage. I can proudly say that I feel that I am a better person because he is in my life.
That is what I hope for you Perky! Find someone that will love the person you are today, and will compliment you as you evolve into the person you will grow to be. Remember, the person you are at 23 is not the person you will be when you are 33.

Who would have guessed the competition would be this hard. We cant even begin who to choose between. This is going to be a tough one for Perky. However, we feel she'll get to know them better over the weekend. (then decide).

Did any of you people ever go to college or were you ever 22? Let's look at this in the eyes of most 22 year old women. What you have to chose from are mainly 20-25 year old men, still in school or just recently graduated. That's exactly what Perky has here to choose from. It is obvious the 26-35 year old men with good jobs and stable careers, just didn't apply. That's why we go to college, is to prepare to get a good job, stable income and a home when we're in our late 20's. Let's be honest, there's a very slim pickin of 23 yr. old guys getting ready to graduate that have a stockpile of money in their savings, a full time job and their own home. That's what they are hoping for in life and that's why they are where they are. Sure Perky has a good career. She's one of the lucky ones. She got the 60 or so college credits she needed to get into the 22 month long Rad. Tech program ( which is straight through, no summer or winter 2 month vacations like college) and got a job at the same hospital where she went to school. How do I know this? My wife is in the same program. Let's be honest, for all of you who think that several of these guys don't live up to your expectations, I would be willing to bet that in a year or 2 they will have very successful careers and the fairy tale life that you all think they should have now. Let's face it the life they are living now is... How should I say this..."NORMAL". If any of you have never once had to rely on your friends and family since you were 18 yrs. old then you evidently don't get along with your parents or have very good friends.

I heard the interviews with all 5 of Perky's potentials. Honestly, she has a tough decision to make and I give her props for it.
As far as being 23 and living at home, I don't see a problem with it. I'll be the first to admit that I'm 22 and still live at home with mom and dad. It save me money since I'm still in school and as long as I'm in school I've got a place to stay with mom and dad. Living at home untill a) I'm done with school b) I get married will help out a lot. So, Thursday Groom don't let that bother you. I'm sure there's a reason for you living at home right now.

I really like thursday groom. I think that he has a sense of humor and really knows what he wants. Sure he has moved back home, but who hasn't moved back home once or twice to saved money. That does not make him a bad person. I think he would make a great groom Perky. I would pick him in a heartbeat!!! If you dont pick him then pick Batman, he is my second choice. Any of them, except for MONDAY groom would be good for you Perky!!! MONDAY needs to go!!! I have a very bad feeling about MONDAY GROOM..... he said that his kids do not define him, well i am sorry, i have a child and your kids do define you. Well I have thought about the Thursdays grrom again and he sounds a little more sincere than before. Perky, you decide what is right for you, but i personally know this guy. he is a smooth talker that knows exactly what to say to a girl. he is a fun guy thats great to hangout with, but anything past that, dont trust a word he says

I honestly know this guy, i'm not going to say his name but i will tell you all what i know about him. I have hung out with him sober and drunk multiple times and i feel i have a good idea of his personality and his past. He is an alcoholic, his most recent girlfriend (not the one he mentions on the radio) kicked him out of HER house because he got hammered and "didn't come home many times." He has no asperations as a man and is currently living with a buddy because his parents won't let him stay back home. He is a funny guy, but often acts in a way that makes you question his sexuality to get laughs. He uses way too much hairgel and is a metrosexual. Whether you like that kind of stuff or not, this guy is not good to women. I would not say these type of things about people online except for the fact that he honestly does not deserve whatever prize this contest gives away. I have enough respect for myself to keep this guy's name to myself, but this girl seems really nice and deserves better.

They might be true, they might be the furthest thing from the truth. Remember, take good notes and be sure to ask them about specific allegations if you choose any of these grooms for your extended weekend chats. Weigh their responses carefully, and good luck. This is getting crazy on here. Girls are taking things about him that may be true in some way shape or form, but then are adding things and distorting the truth.

He doesn't suck people of their money, out of all the guys, he makes the most a year. He's not by any means a metro sexual or does he use too much hairgel. LOL. Perky, my sister is not one to get jealous, she and thursday's guy have talked since all of this has happened. We just want you to know what it is that you are getting with him. She was also forwarned about his behavior and decided that he had changed, he loved her and talked about marriage with in weeks of them being together, and it turned out that she should have listened to her friends. He is a really fun guy to hang out with, just be careful.

This guy is a slug. Trust me I am not an ex-anything to this guy.I have heard people talk about him over the past 6 months or so. I have to wonder why none of his last girlfriend's friends liked him. As a matter of fact, I have never met anyone else but his ex-girlfriend who could stand him. I know she kicked him out not long ago and he must have been a contestant still living under her roof. I know he asked her out the day before his interview (she said no). As you might have guessed I am a friend of his last girlfriend. Everyone seems to be soooo impressed with Cards tickets, you might want to ask him who bought them, I know for a FACT they do not belong to him ! If he's gonna lie about something like that what else will he lie about. You may want to ask him who he was with Sunday (9th) and part of Monday (10th) I know you have to make the choice but PLEASE listen to what some of these people have said. If you do choose him uncle Perky will be taking him to the yard in just a few months !!!!!!

I didn't get that from Wednesday groom. But I wanted to let you know that being in the "hot seat" is SOOO different. You are nervous, you don't know what questions are going to be asked. I think that Wednesday is a PERFECT match for Ms. Perky and I also think that she will be very happy if she picks him. He has been my favorite for her since I heard him. I don't get where you think he's not fun, just because he's a teacher doesn't mean he doesn't know how to have fun, and because he's not a "beer pong" champ. There comes a point in your life..at least there should come a point, where you need to stop partying 24-7. I think Perky has reached that point, i don't think Thursday has and i feel Wednesday has. I listened to the midnight tape and I thought he was trying to impress her with his finances and his families. You need someone that will make you laugh and enjoy life but it is really up to her. I was just trying to tell her to follow her heart!

I want to thank everyone involved and who care about this social experiment "Is Love Blind-Cornbread's 2 Strangers and a Wedding". You've chosen the perfect bride in Perky and as this meeting of hearts grows it's cool to see our 22 year old country girl really find herself and grow as a person. To hear her tell me on the air that she's learning about herself during this process and growing as a person, makes me confident she will pick the right man and have a long happy marriage.

I'm closing this blog as Perky moves on to the next Chapter in her real-life fairytale. I'm so excited as all of us will soon be able to see for the first time on TV this couple who will see each other for the first time at the altar.
