Spring (Hair) Blowout!

Spring is in the air and my luxurious white hair is everywhere!

Pets of all shapes and sizes: It's time to start letting go of that winter coat to make yourselves more comfortable for the upcoming balmy weather. I'm an old pro at ditching the fur coat, so I thought I'd give some ideas of where to discreetly deposit your unwanted fur. My favorite places are:

Rugs- Any and all rugs are fair game! Roll around on them at will. Be sure you don't miss the bathroom rugs. I like to think Roommate appreciates the little hairs that stick to her feet right after a shower. She washes those rugs all the time, so sometimes it can be a struggle to keep them haired.

Couches and chairs- The living room set is great because you can be perfectly comfortable while rubbing all of your unwanted hair out. It then becomes someone else's problem.

Clean laundry- Sometimes when we pets start our Spring Blowout, it's not as toasty outside as we'd prefer. Since most of us can't reach the thermostat, warm, clean piles of laundry allow us to de-fur AND stay warm.

The kitchen counter- This is especially perplexing to Roommate because I'm not allowed on the counter. Of course, I don't agree with that rule. She has to sleep sometime, right?

Pillows- Any kind of pillow will do. I try to spread the shedding out evenly between the decorative couch pillows and Roommate's pillow.

An old standby: Clothes that are being worn- Just because it's always nice to leave a little piece of you on your roommate so they don't forget you while they're out at that fancy dinner.

In the computer keyboard- This can be tricky to accomplish. I like to catch Roommate when she's using her laptop. I simply jump up and sit on the keyboard and let my stray hairs fall where they may.

And my favorite place of all is... On and around Roommate's chapstick! She's not as fond of this one as I am. I don't know why.
