Here is an interesting story that I found about Toby’s connection to the White House.

This week retired Marine General James Jones was named National Security Advisor for the Obama administration.  But long before he was chosen to help shape national policy, Jones helped Toby Keith shape his 2002 album.  Gen. Jones was in attendance at the Pentagon during a post 9/11 performance by Toby for Marines shipping off to Afghanistan.  On the set list was a song Toby wrote as a morale booster for those heading into harm’s way called “Courtesy Of The Red White And Blue (The Angry American).”  Following the performance Jones told Toby he should release the song, and though Unleashed was already done, Toby went back into the studio.  The song soon became a huge hit.
