When you think of the sacrifices that these men and women have given in the war on terror it saddens me to think they don't have the basic items like socks, t-shirts, underwear etc. These are the things they need to be donated to them.  This is a disgrace...the government may not be there entirely for them but you and I can be.  Please join me Saturday afternoon even if you don't ride.  Please donate the items on the list at J&W Cycles in Washington, MO.  by tomorrow at 2:30pm.  Each year we've rode over to Jefferson Barracks these veterans roll out in wheelchairs, on gurneys and welcome us.  They enjoy the fact that we get together just to stop by and say "thank you"

I'm so proud to invite you to the 4th Annual VA Ride!

We will be collecting winter clothing and donations for the

St. Louis VA Medical Center Jefferson Barracks Division.

Join me for the party from 12:30 to 2:30pm then the ride leaves from J&W at 2:30PM and continues on a scenic route to the VA Medical Center to drop off the donations and visit with the veterans.

We have the VFW auxiliary out of IL going to do hot dogs, chips, soda and cookies.

Visit jwcycles.com for a list of needed items and to RSVP.

  All bikes and friends invited!

$10.00 donation to the VA Medical Center to Ride!

J&W Cycles will be collecting items for the VA hospital up to September 12th 2009.  Strap it to your bike if you need to.

Items the need at the hospital:

New socks

Coats

T-shirts

Underwear

Jeans

Tennis shoes…preferably new but gently used would be acceptable.

  • I was impressed that there were so many riders out that day it actually brought tears to my eyes watching everyone take off...knowing and understanding the cause of the ride is something that very few can appreciate these days. I hope it was a wonderful and safe experience for everyone involved. God Bless!
