The Roots are coming to Webster University Friday, April 18th. This is a show that I would love to see. Tickets aren't that expensive and I believe that this is an outdoor concert and I would love to go and see them perform. I am a techno head, but good hip hop is good music too! Their music is funky, and soulful so if you are looking for a great outdoor event, here's a good one. The information regarding the concert is below. You can find this information at the Webster University website.
Here is a good video of the Roots
Grammy Award-winning hip-hop band, The Roots, will perform at Webster University as part of the Rock Your Roots program on Friday, April 18, 2008. Known for their high energy, live performances, The Roots have been on the music scene since 1987, when drummer Questlove (?uestlove) and MC BlackThought met in high school. The band released its first full-length album in 1993, and their highly anticipated 10th album, “Rising Down,” is set to hit store shelves on April 29. Considered by music critics as one of the best live bands of our time, The Roots have collaborated with the likes of Jay-Z, Moby, Erykah Badu, Neely Furtado, Eminem and most recently Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy.
