The Eco-Friendly Water Powered Clock

Designed and sold by Bedol - What's Next, this little-blue-water-wonder is a fresh idea to wake up to. This colorful, earth friendly gadget has made a big impression on me, and I plan to order my own- only costs $16!

Powered by water and a little salt, the clock is runs perfect time without batteries or wires. Run by magic? No...but electrodes harvest the clean renewable energy  and that keeps the clock ticking. It's this kind of technology that is being sought after as more and more people are applying eco-friendly innovations to everyday items. This little clock is a small example of the power of Alternative energy. (Just recently, a power group in Norway will build an experimental "salt power" plant in 2008, and are benefiting from the results.)

It might seem like a novelty item, but I think it is a big step in the right direction. A clock that runs on water? It gets me excited about what comes next...a water powered hair dryer. Now that's what I am talking about!

Know of other products that are powered this way, or in a new way? Let me know and I'll try it out and contribute an article!
