Maybe it's just me, but I don't feel like I'm truly on vacation when visiting a tropical locale until I've seen a few elderly gentlemen sporting obnoxious Hawaiian print shirts - a.k.a. channeling their inner Del Boca Vista. (If that went over your head, you're not a "Seinfeld" fan, so click on the Video tab.) That being said, there are many ways to pull off wearing a bit of Hawaiian print without looking like a crazy old man.

As most of you know, Old Navy's flip-flops are probably the most-affordable footwear around  when it gets to be that time of year. These Floral-Printed Flip-Flop Sandals are a mere $7.50, and they'll look cute with everything from a swimsuit to a casual sundress.

While Hollister Co.'s clothing is usually geared towards teenagers who prefer to be scantily clad, these vintage Hawaiian Print Board Shorts are as classic as it gets. They're only $38, which is pretty reasonable for a swimsuit, and they come in five different colors.

Roxy can always be counted on for their laid-back, beachy take on fashion, and this Day Dreaming Dress is certainly no exception. The straps on this flirty frock are adjustable, which is always a plus in my book, and you can snag yours for $39.50 at Pac Sun.

Nautica's Ocean Hibiscus Silk Tie can be found on sale at Macy's for $29.99. While it might not be a great choice of neck-wear for extremely formal occasions, it's a great way for guys to bring a little bit of beach to the work week.

And if you're really nervous about trying out Hawaiian print when you're not actually digging your toes in the sand, try out one of these rings from  Laurie Solet in Clayton. Sure, it's literally only one Hawaiian-ish flower, but you have to start somewhere, right?

What do you think?
