In case you didn't hear, another Cornbread April Fool's Prank swept over St. Louis Wednesday morning. But this time, some of the early morning listeners had a chance to help pull it off!
Knowing we have a large influx of listeners tuning in after 7am each morning, Cornbread enlisted the help of the folks listening earlier at 6:30! He asked them to call in and act like we had said or done something unforgivable, and to scold Annie for being the worst offender. He recorded the calls, and then waited to play them back after 7:00.
After the initial faked calls aired, the concerned calls of the 7:00 crowd came pouring in. Some were curious what was said, some didn't care...they just wanted us to know that whatever was said they forgave us. :) A few though, said they would never listen again, even though they had no idea what was said!
Our favorite call was from a woman who said she knew what was said, but was willing to chalk it up to a mistake. When pressed about what was said, she said she wouldn't dare repeat it! Now THAT's better than the old "Broken Telephone" game!
By 8:00, all was revealed, and another successful April Fools prank was enjoyed by the Breadhead Nation!
GOTCHA! :-)
