Ok, sounds nice to a degree. Does he have a job lined up for when he graduates? What is his grade point average at this point? What are his normal habits for the evening and weekends? Does he frequent bars and strip joints? If it wasn't for his mom, would he spend those 2 days in church, or does he go regularly? What kind of car does he drive, and what is his favorite article of clothing, and where does he shop? What sports does he like, and is he involved in an sports? Lots of things that I would want to know.

Well..from reading about this one i wouldnt tell her to RUN! LOL but there is alot of things that need to be clerified. Does he have a job now? Or what is he going to do when he graduates? So, does he live with his mom? Does he support himself? And what kindof things did he do to get into that Frat...Wasnt there an initiation? Other than those questions ....he sounds ok...Except he is REALLY tall...but that is ok.

PICK BATMAN!!!!!!!! Everyone else is going to suck.

This guy bothers me to some degree. How ghas he been putting him self through college? Does he have student loans that need to be paid off? It is quite posible he is using perky and the show as a means to get money and support him after graduation, or does he see this as a way to get a job in communications. To tell you the truth this guy's answers were to good. Where does he live now? Does he have any idea what the real world is like, out from under his free life style. He has no work record, so who knows what kind of a responsible person he will be. I do not see, nor did I hear this morning of any type of work he has done in the last 23 years. Is he a sponge and is going to count on his parents and grandparents, along with Perky to carry him through life after his free ride of the first year is up? Most of all what about this one time long term relation he had? Is he going to run back to her if she ask him to? He has more history with her than Perky. The guy just seems like he has a lot of growing up to do yet. I believe that if Perky picks this guy she is going to have a free loader on her hands since this is the life style he is acustom to. SORRY PERKY, I think this guy is bad news, and for his great answers, remember he has been a life time student and know how to get the right answers for a test.

Maybe we could get a groom or two who actually has a JOB? Whoever is choosing these grooms is really doing a poor job, in my opinion. Perky specifically said she would like a guy who already has a career established. I don't think that's asking for too much. Neither of the first two even have full-time jobs, as far as I can tell. Monday's groom was all around scary. Tuesday's groom seemed nice enough, but still, he doesn't appear to have a job. And he's just getting ready to graduate college? That probably means lots of school loans, debt, etc.

If I were Perky, I'd be really disappointed in the choices thus far. It's not like she's asking for that much. She wants a man with a job, preferably no kids, no debt, and ready to settle down. WHY are we giving her the opposite to choose from?

I wouldn't be surprised if there's no wedding, considering the potential grooms thus far.

Being a recent college grad myself, I think this guy sounds great! Grounded, not full of himself, and ready to settle down with the right girl. Sure he might have some college debt, but who doesnt these days? In my opinion, it is really difficult to find a guy at this age who A) has a job AND is nice and B) is ready to settle down. I think Batman sounds like a good catch and Perky should seriously consider giving him the chance to add excitement and joy to her life!

Sounds like a possibility. Very quick and witty and sounds honest. I'm like some of the others. . . I want to know how he earned money for school, what jobs has he worked in the past, who paid the beer bill and the fraternity dues. In general, I liked his voice and answers.

of course he has a job! he has had a job since he was 15 1/2 years old. he moved back home recently so he could work a little less and really focus on finishing school on a strong note. he drives a 2002 chevy malibu that his buddies make fun of for being an old person car, but he bought it because he got a great deal and it only had 20,000 miles on it. that was a responsible decision, no? our grandparents cut his hair because they're getting older (in their 80's) and it makes them feel useful to be able to help him out. believe me, the haircut doesn't always come out right! he's had to take a couple of emergency trips to the salon immeadiately after leaving their house. but he keeps going back because it makes them happy. he has some student loans, but nothing serious...i'd guess around 5,000 or so. that's nothing these days.
he's a great catch and i'm not just saying that cause i'm his sister. perky would be lucky to wind up with him!!

That's very sweet about your grandparents. I'm not doubting that your brother is a nice guy. He sounded very nice. I just don't remember him saying what his current job is. Or maybe I missed it.

I just think whoever Perky marries needs to have an established career. If they were just going to date, that's one thing. No problems there. But to marry someone in three weeks (?!? is that right ?!?!) who is still going to college, and doesn't have a firm plan for his future scares me.

I think batman sounds ok..but there is still questions that need addressed. Like what communitcation he is planning to go into. Communication leaves the door wide open. And perky is a well successful woman and needs to know she is going to be taken care of. She already established a career and wants someone with the same qualities as she has. That is reasonable I think. There is nothing wrong with studen debt, I have some of my own as well. It is had to get yourself through school. I know the feeling, but she needs to feel secure when she gets married...the same way that she feels secure right now not being married. What kindof job is he looking towards? I hope Perky doesn't pick him!! I would love it if Cornbread would give some girls like me a shot at him. I can't remember when someone has been so honest and down to earth and has a good sense of humor. I love him!

Having an opinon on this guy is fine. I think he was an appropriate pick for perky. Maybe not the best, but opinions are what these blogs are for. But why don't you wait until Friday before you start assuming all the guys they picked are gonna suck? Your patience level is as bad as my 3 year old.

I guess we WILL have to wait until Friday to see the final 'pickins'. But I think it would make more sense to have a terrific guy go first and then worry about the quality being slightly tarnished than to start with 'rust'.

And regarding the debt, I would be more concern about his 'other' personal debt like crdeit cards and other unsecured laons than she can definitely inherit once they become married. But regarding student loan debt (like Stafford loans), it does not become her debt too when they are married. If they get divorced, he will take his student loan debt with him!!!

Just so everyone knows, I am not here to bash anyone...I am just trying to think of questions for perky to ask. Maybe some questions that might slip her mind. I think Batman has great potential and I praise him for wanting to not work so much and focus on school. He is fortunate cause not everyone who goes to school can do such a thing. I cant tell you how anxious I am for you 'Perky'. More and more by the groom. (By the way I cant tell you how much that nickname Perky irritates me.) Its sounds like it was given by Flavor Flav. Batman is terrible at spades, but other than that he is an all around good guy.

I would like to hear someone ask about his relationship with his mother. I found out after I got married that for better or worse, the mother will have an affect on your life in either a good way, or a bad way.

I think Batman sounds great. I am tired of CB and everyone saying these guys are not good enough for perky. While we have met and picked her already these guys are going to have to be an equal part of this equasion to make this work. While we heard Perky isn't perfect from the lie detector test it is impossible to pick a perfect goom. She has things the guys need to get use to also like her age, her close over protective family and I think this guy sounds great. What more do you want he is almost done with school and trying to do good things with his life. I think people need to let up on the grooms this is who gets along with perky not everyone else. My question for batman is where did you grow up and what area do you live in now? Good luck and I think you sound very mature and I would think you family is very proud of you.

How come the bride choices all got a silouette kind of shot and the guys so far are just getting symbols? Who are we really saying love is "blind" for? The guys or the girls? To me, it looks like the experiment is slanted toward the guys being able to get some sort of visual, while the bride gets the blindfold.

Okay, after listening to the show yesterday, I went home and started thinking....the golf cart incident, well i know someone who did that. I definately know someone who is 6'8''. That person was also studying communications when I was going to school with him. After talking with my husband, I was sure it was him! I know him! He is awesome, he actually used to be my husband's fraternity brother! I had him in a few classes while at school. He is probably one of the funniest people I know. He is also a blast to hang out with! I haven't spoken to him in about a year, however after hearing him on the radio, I knew immediately that it was him. "Batman" is a very caring guy, he's the guy that will not only be your husband, but also your best friend. I wish him the best of luck. Perky, you would regret passing him up!

Perky you would be lucky to have a guy like Batman. He has a great personality and if you love to laugh, then he is definatly the one for you. For as much as he is funny he is also sincere, a hard worker, and a wonderful person to know. We're all pullin for ya Batman!!

You are very young and beautiful girl, this is a great experience for you. No matter how you look at it, "Love is Blind" You never really know someone till you live with them. Just open your heart Perky, and let your heart tell you which one to pick. Close your eyes and feel with your sences. Your heart can tell you a lot. It doesn't matter how tall they are or how short they are. What matters is what is in their heart and what is in your heart. You can build a life with anyone if you work at it. But feeling with your heart is the one clue that will open the door to a new life for you and the young man that you pick.

What's with that HAT ????

I just finished listening to all the audio and video from this past week, as I've only been able to catch snipits here and there. Batman was definitely my favorite. He has a great personality and can make you laugh--and I've found that's one of the most important things in my marriage! I met my husband online 9 years ago, and I have to admit that I was not blown away by his looks at the time. But now, of course, I think he's one of the best looking men I've ever been with! It was his personality that attracted me to him. I hope that you've had a chance to get to know the two or three guys a little better...and I'm rooting for Batman on Monday! Good luck with this!

Okay, I like this guy...but as always, there are some things to think about. I'm sure you've already thought of most of them, but just remember that it's important to be on the same page as far was church, jobs, and commitment to making a marriage work.
I really like Batman a whole bunch more than any other groom. One of the grooms had twenty girl friends????? For about three months each???? That's FIVE YEARS of changing girl friends every three months!!! I think this guy might have a little but of a commitment problem...be careful of that!

Perky - I have known Batman for well over a year and must let you know: this one is a CATCH! He is so nice and just a great time! His demeanor makes everyone around him at ease, and he handles himself with the utmost respect while he is at my bar. The way a guy acts at the bar says a LOT about their personality as a whole - trust me, I have seen it all. Batman comes in with his group of friends, and always leaves with his friends. I know a lot of people have been dissing on him regarding his "partying," but I can guarantee you he is always in control and handles himself extremely well. He really is an outstanding person and instantly makes friends everywhere he goes. You should totally pick Batman - you are the only thing he has talked about lately! He's completely digging you, and he's definitely a dreamy catch!

I want to thank everyone involved and who care about this social experiment "Is Love Blind-Cornbread's 2 Strangers and a Wedding". You've chosen the perfect bride in Perky and as this meeting of hearts grows it's cool to see our 22 year old country girl really find herself and grow as a person. To hear her tell me on the air that she's learning about herself during this process and growing as a person, makes me confident she will pick the right man and have a long happy marriage.

I'm closing this blog as Perky moves on to the next Chapter in her real-life fairytale. I'm so excited as all of us will soon be able to see for the first time on TV this couple who will see each other for the first time at the altar.
