Have you noticed that your phone may be ringing with more and more solicitations lately? With the nature of our economy and its struggle right now, you might start getting more calls if you have not already.
I recall last year, I put my phone number on a Do Not Call list and was told that it would expire and that I would have to renew it. I was checking for information about that when I stumbled onto this handy government site. There are other DNC lists but this is the official deal.
Unlike other lists, The National Do Not Call list, is enacted by the NDNC Imrovement Act of 2007. In February 08, this act became a law and it keeps a registered number on the DNC List permanently. Registration can be deleted at any time and you can add up to three of your numbers.
You must have a valid email address for confirmation, and once your registration is finalized, in 30 days you will be protected by law from companies who have no business calling. Some companies are starting to itch and might resort to this tactic, so here are some insider rules that Professional Support Services suggests might help.
If you are not sure, or don't remember if you're on the NDNC List - take two seconds to do it here. It's really simple. You'll thank me later :)
