A Mystery in Kirkwood

I got to take part in helping my son build his first snowman yesterday!  (Though his mom did most of the work)

The reason I could play is a bit of a mystery.  The reason I could play is I had a lot less work to do than I anticipated. 

The house we've moved into has a very long driveway.  It's long enough that was spending a disproportionate amount of my time yesterday dreading the act of shoveling it.  I was here at the office, watching the flakes get bigger and the pace grow brisker, and thinking of the mother of all backaches I was going to have once I shoveled it all away. 

My dread only increased as we fought our way through drifts and traffic going home.  As we approached our house, I was trying to anticipate where exactly our driveway was, and how much speed I was going to have to muster to make it to the top.  Then we got there....and I knew exactly where it was....because SOMEONE HAD PLOWED IT!  I have not paid any service, nor do I have any close friends with snow plows hooked to the front of their trucks.  There was no note, flyer, or phone call seeking payment.  There was no number to dial with a thank you.  Just thirty yards of driveway with the 9 and a half inches of snow we received already gone.  There was still some other shoveling to do, but the workload was cut by 80%!  I was one lucky/fortunate/blessed guy!

Whoever you are, please accept my hearty "thank you/"  You were an angel on a day when one was most welcome.  And I got to help my little boy with his first snowman.  That was pretty cool.
