With snow and ice in the forecast the rest of this week, this morning on the Cornbread Morning Show, we were remembering the GREAT SNOWSTORM OF 82. By no means do we expect a similar snowstorm this week. If I recall, we had 18 inches overnight, and it happened on a Friday night into a Saturday, so school wasn't a factor. I do recall snow as high as the elephant's eye. People were cross country skiing on the streets and in Shaw Park in Clayton, and sledding EVERYWHERE!!! What do you remember about the Great Snowstorm of '82???

  • Oh the Blizzard of "82" I was at home wth my mom Kathy & my cousin Kim. My mom's car was stuck in the neighbor's drive way which we had to push it up into ours. I also walked a couple of miles for my old house on Forest Ave to the gas station Gas Mart down by the Fairgrounds which was no fun. It was kind of fun because we didn't have school because we had lots if snowball fights with the neighbors. But that was also the last fun time I ever had with my mom so blah!!!!!
