I am always interested in finding new, different music and when I came across The Whip's latest album X Marks Destination, I was thrilled. Usually browsing less known sites and online radio, I surprisingly found this album on iTunes. I usually don't pick up interest in what is hot at the moment or topping the charts, but like I said, I made a personal discovery that has had me pressing 'CD Repeat' more than once a day. This Euro Rock band definitely hits the spot and is worth the dough!
X Marks Destination is a great album to look into if you're an 80sBaby or like good electronic music. I was surprised to find this album in Pop, as it seems to be more of a crossover into synthesized and techno sounds. It also carries a punk feel that gets my head banging and my feet tapping...sounds retarded I know, but that signals a good track to me! I hope you agree!
Top tracks on this album include 'Sister Siam', 'Frustration', 'Fire', and 'Save My Soul'. (Strictly my own opinion.) These tracks make up a well put together album that is unified by funky, mellow, and high energy beats. The lyrics are catchy and bold and are likely ear worms, so let's just say I warned you. I recommend that you pick up this album if you are interested in some new grooves! Click on the Video Tab to check out some videos from The Whip's March 2008 Album - X Marks Destination.
