Tuff times these times now here in America. We had a story earlier this morning about auto sales--way down last month. Retail sales for the holiday season were not good. We Americans are tightening those purse strings--cutting down--doing without--except for when it comes to one thing. Chocolate.
Chocolate sales are on the rise. As a matter of fact-since 2006-luxury chocolates have seen sales increase by more than 17% and purchases have improved 200% over the past 5 years.
I didn't think I was alone in my choc-a-holism.
BTW-What do you think is the most popular type of chocolate ? Research shows that 80% of all chocolate sales are milk chocolate.
