Boondock Saints - You Haven't Really Lived Until You've Seen This Movie

This isn't the film with the cartoon African-American kids? I love that show. Those kids are snarky. W00t!

Great flick, a must for any Godfather or Reservoir Dogs lovers. Good plot, good acting, and good edge. Even if you don't like blood you'll find something for you.

To go aginst what Shamus said, I loved the Godfather films, and Reservoir Dogs but Boondock Saints is probably the stupidest movie I have ever seen.. And I've seen some back movies before.

People left and right tell me how amazing this movie is and how much I would love it, so I sit down to watch it a couple years ago and I totally don't see what is so great about it... The acting is horrible (yeah even Willem Dafoe), and the story itself is so one dimensional and has been done a million other times (and better), the characters where boring and stale, I could go on and on about how bad this movie is.

But I guess that its one of those things... Emo kids have The Nightmare Before Christmas, semi-retarded white male teens have ICP, and people with misplaced anger have Boondock Saints..

By far the best movie ever made!! I also have watched it more times than I can count!

I have to admit, I've never seen it. I don't know why, I've always heard it's great but I never think to pick it up when going to rent movies. I will put it on my to-do list for sure!

This movie is one of the most overrated pieces of ____ ever. People that claim this is one of the best movies of all time need to actually watch some real films.

I think Coppola and Scorsese would vomit if they ever saw that their FILMS were ever compared to this Two Star (at best!) movie.
I'm not denying that its not an entertaining movie, but entertaining does not equate "cinematography masterpiece." It is entertaining when you choose to ignore poor acting (terrible Irish accents, "over acted" scenes, and Ron Jeremy) and poor writing (the concept is fine, but most of the dialogue is atrocious). Anyone who does not acknowledge these serious flaws, or at least recognize them, should not be critiquing movies.

No, I have never seen it or heard of it..but I just put into my phone! We will totally pick that up! Maybe this weekend!!

Hmmm... My vote still goes for Cool Hand Luke for best all-time movie. And Goodfellas for mafia violence. On Boondock Saints: It's kind of a succession of pseudo-stylish execution scenes, each one trying to one up the last. Lacking in substance. That said, if you enjoy it, I'm not going to [Naughty language removed.]on your rainbow.

I love this movie but also hadn't heard of it until someone mentioned it to me! I don't know why it is so unknown.

This is one of the worst films I've ever had the displeasure of watching. It's right up there with the film "Joe's Apartment" which made me visibly sick.

The writing, directing, storytelling, unoriginality, are all terrible. There's ways to steal other people's work (Tarantino) and there's ways not to (Troy Duffy) and this is one of the worst products of the Pulp Fiction-esque clones to come out of the mid to late 90's.

I actually ask whether or not people like this movie when I'm on a date. I cannot understand for the life of me why people can adore a film when all I see is a film I loathe and despise.

If you're looking for a film that contains violence, revenge and family relations than you should check out Oldboy.

How could you possibly compare Boondock Saints to Joe's Apartment?!?! Tarantino is a crazy person...but do you really hate BS enough to judge your dates on it? Ouch!!!

You made me watch this one Aud, and I'm glad you did. It's a great movie. If anyone says otherwise, I'm not sure I would trust their opinion on any other movie either!

They don't HAVE to hate it, but I will use it as a judgment of character and I will turn a deaf ear to them if they every recommend a film to me.

I thought this was a pretty ridiculous film and though I didn't hate it, I didn't think it was too good either. I feel like I have a pretty good taste in movies (in general), but for the life of me, I can't understand why people rave about it so much. It's come to the point where on that fact alone, I now DO hate this movie. What the hell? Are people just trying to be eccentric? It's not that good.
