I'm Sorry, But Your Baby is Ugly

Haha! i hope i wasnt one of those ugly babies that only my parents thought was cute!

I think it's a tough line to tote. On one hand, you've got a family/friendship relationship on the line. And if you say the wrong thing, it could haunt you at reunions for years to come.

on the other hand, an ugly baby is an ugly baby. Some of those little rascals have only a face a mother could love...

am I right?

i'll admit, every parent thinks their child is beautiful - myself included. I remember before our son was born, my husband asked me if we were to have an ugly baby, would WE know that it was ugly? I honestly don't think you could ever see "ugly" when looking at your own child.

Guess I wouldn't invite Audrey to babysit your offspring anytime soon!

You just have to master the art of double talk.

“Wow, your child really sets him/her self apart from the rest.”

“Those are striking features!”

“Your baby is one of a kind!”

“Your child brings tears to my eyes.”

Ever noticed two ugly people get together and produce a really good looking kid and then sometimes two really good looking people get together and their kids just are ugly?

There is always the hope that an ugly baby, will eventually grow up and out those looks and into a good or at least decent looking man or woman...ha

I would feel so horrible if someone told me my baby was ugly, but my mom told me a couple years ago that i was one of those "ugly" babies, but i am not ugly now ha! so i think that people should always keep comments to themselves and hopefully the baby will grow up to be beautiful or handsome and one day you can talk about how much of an ugly baby they were, but definitely keep the ugly baby comments back until they are older.

My sister was the ugliest child and she is now stunningly beautiful.

I encourage others to say , if they are uncomfortable, "How adorable!" I mean, the parents adore them, so therefore they qualify to someone as adorable. MY cousin had these really fruity ears that stuck out, and a VERY round face; but she is in her 70's now , doesn't look it AT ALL, and is still a beautiful woman. So yeah, I agree with all the comments. I did ONE time see a baby in a pumpkin seat in a store that had these wierdo sort of eyes with bags under them already! I was shocked! Then I looked at the MOM....and I kept right on moving through the store!
I was cute, but my Mom said my 1st nephew was ugly! He was ,sort of. Very handsome man today. So anything can happen! Let's hope for the best!

And sometimes the most breathtaking beautiful baby can grow up to be..well..ugly. lol. But, I am a firm believer in beauty being whats inside, not skin deep. :-)
