But is it really the "one and only?" It's definitely the only 630-foot Arch here in St. Louis, but there are actually many more arches out there.

The Peace Arch (right) is located on the border of the United States and Canada, and was built in 1921 to commemorate the Treaty of Ghent. More specifically, it symbolizes the "love" that Americans and Canadians are supposed to have for the other country. It's only 67.2 feet tall, so it hardly compares to the one in our own backyard, but if you're ever crossing over into Canada, this would be a pretty arch to walk through.
There is no better place to see beautiful, natural arches than Arches National Park in Utah. The one in this picture is called the Delicate Arch for obvious reasons, but the park also keeps more than 2,000 other sandstone arches preserved for people like you and me. And if you're up-to-date on your desert literature (apparently, to some, this is a very big deal), Edward Abbey based his famous memoir - Desert Solitaire - on his experience as a park ranger there.
The Neutrality Arch in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan is an arch that you will probably never see in person, but just in case you want proof that there are famous arches abroad, this is a prime example. It's a bit more modern than any of the other arches previously mentioned, but like the Gateway Arch, it features an elevator. Unlike the Gateway Arch, it has a tripod design and is covered in ornate inscriptions.
There are also some pretty famous arches here and here.
