During an interview with the Associated Press, the Oscar winner doesn't hesitate to express his negative feelings about the Republican V.P. hopeful, saying that the idea of her running the country is not only a "terrifying possibility," but is like "a really bad Disney movie."

"The hockey mom, you know, 'Oh, I'm just a hockey mom from Alaska,' and she's the president and facing down Vladimir Putin using the folksy stuff she learned at the hockey rink. It's absurd. I don't understand why more people aren't talking about how absurd it is."

I've interviewed this guy and he may be one of the smartest people I've ever met (he even went to Harvard). Since this story will stir the typical reaction from the right wing, remember, Matt Damon has as much right to speak his mind as Bill O'Reilly. This is why I love America.

Well, Palin & McCain wouldn't like Matt anyway because they feel he's an "Elitist" with him attending Harvard and all. Esecially since he attended the same school as Barack & Michelle Obama.

In order to be a part of their IN-CROWD you would have to own 7+ houses, go moose hunting and you can only attend a community college or be uneducated.

So, way to go Matt Damon. I think it's awesome that we can all speak our minds and that the actors are getting into the election too.
  • If you want to talk experience for Palin, let's look at Obama's experience who would be running the country if elected compared to McCain's.

It's funny that now experience is being bad mouthed since Palin is running as a potential VP of the country and McCain is the one who picked her.

Given the fact that the current President truthfully didn't have any foreign policy, military (other than dodging the draft) - oh, I forgot he was in the National Guard - and manipulating the American people into believing that he could truly WIN an election TWICE.

Not to mention that for the last 4 or 5 months all everyone in the Republican party has been saying is that Barack isn't experienced enough to run this country. He doesn't have the right background and he's an elitist and that being a community organizer isn't what America needs right now. Then McCain turns around and gets a running mate that is basically the same thing that they have been bashing Obama for; just a different gender. And let's not forget they don't want anyone asking her about her experience because then that would be just pure sexism but Obama has to answer the question every time he gets on the TV or in front of people.

Now, you tell me...who is flip flopping? I believe that this wouldn't be that big of an issue if McCain, his people and yes, Hilary too; had not made it so in the beginning. I am truly saddened by the fact that McCain & his people including Palin are trying to win this election based on fear and the fact that McCain was a POW - which don't get me wrong it's sad and horrible but a qualified President it does not make. Neither does being a Govenor. Again I say look at the current President.

I think that if you are going to throw bricks at glass houses you need to make sure you don't live in one yourself -McCain/Palin.

  • quick thing on the experience: for the past 4 years- Obama -U.S. Senator representing Illinois, the 5th most populous state(12 Million, 6 million more than Arizona), the 7 years prior-Illinois State Senator representing 210,000 people ; Palin- past 2 years Governor representing Alaska, 47th most populous state (650,000), prior to that (1996-2002) mayor of Wasillia,Alaska- population 7,025 (+1 roaming moose).

  • The other sad thing is she can't be questioned on her radical beliefs (no abortion in cases of rape, incest, or to preserver a mother's health, alaskan secession, creationism, etc.) because she hides from interviews. After doing her first softball interview tonight with Charlie Gibson, the radicals will cry sexism when she proves to be out of whack with real American values. I'm not comfortable with her running Alaska with her extremist anti-American views much less a carcinogen away from go head-head with Putin. Yikes.
  • I have solace in the fact that it will soon hit the fan soon when the story about her affair with her husband's former business partner/best friend breaks.
