Princeton defeats Dartmouth 23-11

HANOVER, N.H. (The Associated Press) -

Kenny Gunter ran for 173 yards and two touchdowns to lead Princeton to a 23-11 victory over Dartmouth on Saturday in the season finale for both teams.

The Tigers (4-6, 3-4 Ivy League) won three of their last four games for the first time since their Ivy League championship season of 2006 while Dartmouth (2-8, 2-5) lost three of its last four.

Gunter carried the ball 26 times and scored on a 46-yard run in the third quarter and a 6-yarder to open the fourth and turn a tight game into a 20-5 Princeton lead.

Ben Bologna added a 35-yard field goal for the Tigers after scoring on first-half kicks of 19 yards and a career-high 42 yards.

Princeton quarterback Tommy Wornham was 18-for-29 for 211 yards and also gained 49 yards rushing.

Connor Kempe and Greg Patton combined for 302 yards passing for Dartmouth, which was held to only 32 yards on 22 carries.
