It is important to make sure your children are safe while they trick or treat.  Here are some tips to remember on Halloween.

-If possible go with your children while they trick or treat.

-Add reflective tape to your child's costume.  Make sure they are visible to avoid getting hit by a car.

-Make sure your child's costume doesn't have dangling fabric to make them trip.  If they are wearing a mask make sure they can see so they don't fall.

-Bring a flashlight.  This is important to be able to see and for safety purposes.

-Have your child bring a whistle so they can blow it if they get separated from the group.

-Only approach homes that have a light on.  This is for the courtesy of the home owner and safety.

-Always use the sidewalk and if there isn't one use the side of the roads.

-Check your child's candy when they bring it home before they eat it.
