  • I would like to ask when are we as a nation going back to putting family values back at the top of our priority list. When are we going to start making family time more important than chasing after the all mighty dollar. I remember the days of the blue laws, and yes we have came a long way baby, but where do we draw the line? Yes some things are better but at what cost? I work for a company that was closed 2 days a year those where 2 days you knew you could be with your family. Thanksgiving and Christmas. Now they have decided to be open. How much money is enough to justify keeping family from enjoying holidays together? Now I have always been the person that makes sure to have everything needed the day before. I buy gas the night before. I do not patronize the places open on the major holidays because I think those people deserve to be with thier families also. Maybe if we all decide to stay away from these places on days that should be spent with family they won't be so apt to be open if there is no money made. Think about sitting around the Thankgiving table and mom can't be there because she has to work.I ask everyone to avoid all of these places that are owned by people that have no respect for our American values and ideas. They only care about making a extra dollar. Please stand up for what is important to you. If you know someone who has no where to go for the holliday invite them into your home so they have a place to share in the cellabration of family and friends. Please do not feed corporate hogs looking only for another way to sqeeze a dollar out of you and take away what is important to our families.
