In honor of the event, there’s a huge concert on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol for the 29th annual PBS broadcast of “A Capitol Fourth”.
Music Master Barry Manilow will be there to perform; he says he will sing some of his all time classics as well as some newer tunes.
Other artists performing are Aretha Franklin, Natasha Bedingfield, the Grammy-award winning cast of "Jersey Boys," Michael Feinstein and classical pianist Andrew von Oeyen.
PBS' "A Capitol Fourth" will air live on Saturday at 8 p.m. Eastern.
