The St. Charles Humane Society had plans to build a new facility. They had to drop those plans to keep up with the everyday upkeep at the current center. They had 15 people that worked there, they had to cut back to 7 people and cut their hours. For the center to stay open it costs between $10,000 to $20,000 each month. This amount is based on the veterinarian costs. Hopefully they can pick up more donations so they continue to stay open.
