This is very cool. Have you ever eaten at Niche down on Sidney Street in Benton Park? My wife and I went there for our anniversary last year. We already knew the food was great, but now ALL OF AMERICA knows.

Food and Wine Magazine has released it's annual list of the nation's best new chefs. Among them is Niche's Gerard Craft. Only ten people are selected each year for the honor, putting Craft into some big league company.

Food and wine reports the process of finding Craft and the others was a six month ordeal, aimed at identifying, "up-and-coming chefs in America who are innovators with a distinct culinary style and vision creating exceptionally delicious food."

Craft and the others will be on the magazine's July cover. Tonight by phone, the folks at Niche tell ToastedRav.com that the phones have been, "ringing off the hook."

"It's kind of like the week before Christmas. You know how busy that gets." Good luck getting a reservation at Niche any time soon!
